Programming of Allen Bradely PLC

                                                What is PLC ?

PLC is programmable Computer that working on program. PLC is connected with input and output devices. PLC get data from input devices and use that data for program and send the signal according to the program to output devices.

Here we are going to understand the Allen Bradely PLC.We understand it in following
manner

  1. Allen Bradely PLC I/O module and their addressing
  2. Types of File used in PLC and Their use
  3. Understanding of Programming Software and Programming Language
  4. Various programming instruction
  5. Program tutorial
  6. Video

So Lets Begin............................

Allen Bradely PLC I/O module and their addressing

All PLC store the status of input and output device to the Data file. A Data file hold following information.

      1. discrete input values
      2. discrete output values
      3. value associated with timer
      4. value associated with counter
      5. status information. etc....
Generally, Data file store all information like input and output status and numeric as well as binary data of various program and many more that we will see later...

All PLC are available in analog as well as discrete I/O. The discrete module have discrete or bit value of I/O. And that discrete I/O require only single bit per port or screw to store in respectively data file. While analog module require whole word to store the value of I/O device..whole word means 16 bit of data..
                        let see the addressing

from above image we see the different words
  1. File types
  2. File number
  3. File delimiter
  4. Slot or element number
  5. Word delimeter
  6. Word number
  7. Bit delemeter
  8. Bit or terminal number
1.  File types: This is one of the file from Data file.Data file contains different file namely output status file(O),input status file(I),status file(S),binary data file(B),timer file(T),counter file(C),control register file(R),integer file(N). Each of these file serve some purpose.and latter used to show the name of data file is denoted in ( ). In details we will see later.
Here,I means that is input status file that shows the data related to input device that connect to the different port of input module.
